I agree with J Biker above. I was out on the bike back in the nice (?) weather. Saw a lone woman broken down on a busy 'A' road. I went up the road, turned round and went back. Parked nearby and made sure I took my helmet off before approaching. She was fine and had it all under control thanks to her mobile phone. She said she'd been there over an hour and not one person had stopped! She was so grateful that someone had bothered. Don't get in the habit of ignoring others in payback. It just makes the situation even worse. Even if you don't need the help, it's lovely when someone offers. I was lucky that when I had a puncture one day this year it was a lovely hot day. Had quite a wait until the recovery came but it was nice when other riders checked I had things in hand.
