Not sure on shape, its the 6.2 V8 and not the bi turbo one, think I'll pass anyway due to the MPG, its no better than my V10 on fuel.
Yes, and he's a better driver than me. Awesome he is bab eh, I'm such a big softy with him, he's spoiled rotten but even he tried my patience this morning, just got my duvet back from service wash at Morrison's literally 20 mins ago, after Harry was sick on my bed twice this morning........ But, he's still my awesome pup!!
Sorry but I can't agree, there is more to a 911 than speed. I never said they are not quick, I've had four 911's and IMHO the normally aspirated ones are better. I had the turbo for 18 months and still maintain its a disappointment. Like I said, I never thought they were slow, just something of the 911'ness is lost. Academic anyway, as I sold it and bought the R8, which again, only IMO, is a more involving and exciting car, which handles better....... I'll get my coat.....TAXI !!!
I get the NA thing. I recently did a trackday at Silverstone in a GT3RS. Magnificent, the noise and power delivery is an attack on the senses. But don't for one minute think a tuned 997.2 turbo doesn't handle. Cos it does... and some. It'll drop just about anything.....
I agree they handle, I had one, but the Audi is a bit better balanced at the limit. 911's are great cars, I'm a fan, I just think the turbo is a bit soulless thats all. My pick for road and track would be a 2WD GTS, best 911 ever made IMO, GT3RS just a bit too focused for the road, but for a combination of performance, handling and drama...The big V10 everytime
The V10 plus made it into my top 2 before I pulled the trigger on the turbo. But c'mon V10 plus reminded me of a box of tampax. Aaaand, always a 911 on me bedroom wall as a nipper.
I couldn't say, it likes corners and twisty roads better than the motorway The guy who checked all the tracking took it out with traction control etc off and said it was the best go kart he had ever driven
Loads of 997.2 GTS for sale at the moment. Prices have hardened across the 997.2 range. The sweet spot 911 see. Prices won't be softening any time soon, that's for sure. Get into one, your money will be safe providing you look after it and don't thump the miles on.
I didnt let him, it happened when I was asleep, as he sleeps on my bed. He's all better today bless him, just taking him out for "walkies" now.
You do 32mph on a motorway ? that must annoy the other road users !! And 20 round town....You mean MPG surely ?? :Banghead:
