Was hoping you would come up with the weight comparisons in the Panigale range with the OE forged aluminium wheels of the S or R models? you stated the 1199S has the lightest wheels amongst all the Panigale range? With them figures you have quoted it equates to a substantial weight saving and would be definitely be noticeable even on the road! Hence why I noticed a difference swapping out to the OZ gass from the OE forged V4s wheels. It might only seem like a small difference but it will be amplified once it rotating.

There's less than 100g difference in either front or rear between the forged S wheels and the Oz Gass, but the distribution between rim and hub on each design is not specified. The forged 1098R wheels are lighter than the pani S forged style, both front and rear, but the front will then have the penalty from disc spacers. I saw a German mag review of aftermarket wheels several years back. They did it right by not only supplying weights, but also measured the inertia of each set up. In that particular review, PVMs were by far the best for inertia, even though the weights were similar to the competition from what I remember.
What can also be interesting is dicking about to save every ounce on wheels, then uprate brakes with something like T drives, which weigh miles more than the standard discs, so will then increase the wheel inertia again.
