Ha Ha  You will be amazed what solvent can do to condensation and water which can and will get in a tank. The seperation process can turn the water into a nasty galv and any other plated/coated eater.. 304 and (316) stainless (better) can hold it at bay and stand it's ground! But it still can eat it's way into untreated (pickled) tig welding. A tank needs to breath in and air contains................................. water!
BTW i'm sticking to facts and being in the solvent using machinery industry for over 25 years... I could google and copy/paste all day long but whats the point it's only a motocycle tank which corrode from the inside out! So drain it, clean it, sleep with it, ........ cause when it's gone you wont find a new one or a decent s/h one
