used to go there every week until the cameras went up.great fun if you ride it within your limits.the road is not dangerous, its the idiots that are dangerous
car driver did ok, stay in straight line, and -it looks like- a bit of braking faced with that coming at him/her.
The C&F is OK, but I find it lures you into a false sense of security/ confidence. It has some lovely bends on some parts but the road surface is crap tbh. Only been up there probably a dozen times. A much nicer and more fun road runs parallel with it. It also has a few Speed camera's on it too. Far too many cocks/ pillocks and idiots ruined a fun road, so they could crash and cause mayhem for everyone else now.
After surviving such a crash, why would you pick the camera from your bike to film your walk back to the road?
Personally I try to avoid the C&F as it's just dire road surface and has been for years, better roads near by to get you into the peaks but there's 50 limits all over that region so not somewhere I tend to ride much these days
Probably removing the evidence before the plod turned up aswell as filming the sudden onset of rickets!. epressed:
The camera was on him, not the bike, and it came off when he was tumbling down the slope, the bike was stuck in the fence at the road side. Was indeed a bit of poor judgement shown by the rider, and he got off very lightly compared to what may have happened.
Nice little video up until he passes the bloke down the solid white lines......What was it Stoner said to Rossi a few years back?
I did watch it in the end but have no idea why people post this sh*t up, actually I do. It's to remind me that I actually ride okay. Happy for anyone to take the piss out of me for not getting my knee down if this is the consequence.... First rookie mistake is rushing in far to fast, slower in faster out yes?
I think the rule of thumb is simply ride within the limits of the road and capability. Too many people try to get their knee down on the roads when in a lot of cases it's probably slower to do so and definitely more dangerous. I'm all for riding fast when it's suitable but I leave knee down action on the track where it's far more likely to be needed

TBF this is a totally different scenario! to me (and I can't see if he indicated) he had put his bike in a position where it was clear he would overtake and did so, but the car did not check the mirrors. That said... I think we all know when a car driver looks like they are going to 'spring out' and I always wait, but I know tons that would follow the position, indicate and then go scenario, and infact while doing a life-saver the car can easily already be coming across the front of you. On topic, the road looks sh*t, just looks undulating and grainy and looks like lots of stones and soil can get blown in off the side. Plus stone walls aren't for me!
