Chain Soft Links Universal?

Makes a great difference, for so little £££.

 

The pitch on a 5 series chain is 5/8th of an inch or 15.88mm, so over 20 pins it starts life at 317.6mm. Max recommended acceptable stretch is just 1% which is 320.78mm unless I’ve made a mistake

 

New Un-stretched total length =317.6
After use - Stretched total length = 320.1
Stretch = 2.5

That's how I see it

 

Yep max acceptable stretch is 2.5mm over 20 links or 101% of its original length.
