V2 Changing To 6” Rim

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by David Tarbotton, Feb 10, 2021.

  1. have you got any friends with one? Its a 2 min job to change the rear, 5 min ride up the road and back, swap over again

  2. No that is the problem, would be the best for sure. On the other hand no more trackdays this season...so hard to tell how they work IRL. But hopefully someone else has done this!

  3. We run 180/60.

Pirelli make us run some crap compound and in 190/55. Bike is ok, tyres were crap.

  4. Yes 6” wheel has been used. Carl henly had some on his flouro yellow V2

  5. Good to hear, Thanks!, have you got any comments?, then I guess the 190/55 is the best option, shoulder should be better with a wider rim? Or is it so that the 5,5" gives some clear benefits (except from weight)? just want to be sure before the wallet will be empty....

  6. May help. Not the most inspiring speaker, typical northerner with no flair for presentation ;) but knows his stuff
