First thing you noticed eh. And whats with the posing on the measurements. How many of us sit on our bikes like that?
The leathers have a stretch panel at the arse, so the *small* increase in back length would not matter when in a racers crouch. Thats probably the only place the difference will be more than a few millimetres. Other features based on bike length would be accounted for by material choice rather than a few mm of flex induced dilation. The back of the knee for example is a thin material so it doesn't cause an issue with bending. I'm not an expert on ergonomics but I don't think the measuring is the problem. Perhaps if the cuts don't match the measurements then there could be an issue.
Great post, for me I would just go to someone like Nine lives or hideout. But the only thing I can add is that not all leathers are 'stitched' in the same way, there are several different techniques but even within this there is the level of quality control placed on it, stitching that may be rotten or untreated and therefore breaks easily etc, cheap zips that aren't YKK and may just burst, better than a t-shirt and jeans of course but I would think an entry level suit from rst/wolf/Arlen ness would only cost a similar amount and unless u had a professional measure u there is no way the fit can be brilliant as many have said. It's your money mate, I say fair play for investing time and patience in getting people's feedback and not being a hoodie and helmet person!
I too can vouch for ninelives. He adjusts mine. But be careful to get yours done outside the racing season as he is busy fixing and repairing their stuff and they have priority, obviously. His work though is great. If a tad slow. But I understand why that is.
Not so. A friend deals with court cases resulting from accidents and does a lot of motorcycle stuff. He has had a few cases where payouts have been reduced because the rider wasn't wearing the proper gear.
Yep, it's legal to wear just pants and a helmet which is also the only reason why helmets don't have VAT charged on them.
Exactly, and the insurer cant hold back a claim on your bike because of it. The argument above given is a different one, clearly.
These are the final product. Not actually with me yet (still) but *should* be here 3 to 5 days. Will take much more detailed photos and write a thorough review when they do. Obviously the hump is in filled but that'll be done before they are dispatched. They look an odd shape too but hopefully it's just the angle and that they need wearing in.
Drinky, I'm going to look the bee's knees and all the ladies will want to talk to me. It's the bootneck in you that stops you from wanting to look cool and attractive
