  1. Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall?

  2. Def. not, just fed up with paying fortunes to large companies for crap food and fancied doing something different so decided to recycle some wildlife  and support a couple of small local businesses.

  7. Stick it outside and blast it with a 12 bore, that'll open it just fine.

  8. From the LIDL in the Beckton estate.

  9. After skiing on the old slag-heap?

  10. The ski slope on the old slag heap went broke and shut down. So no.

  11. Sprouts with the turkey. I grow the sprouts every year just for this. I'm not a sprout fan, as such, but there is something quite cool about picking your own on the 24th of December.

Also home grown carrots and the bread sauce. Making a sauce out of bread always amazes the locals - worth doing just for that. But it is good!

  12. Sprouts chopped and with streaky bacon dry fried. Makes them edible

  13. Did you mean Peasant Pete ?

  14. Turkey and a F'off big piece of local Beef for me. Plenty local veg, so there's enough left over for Bubble & Squeek, cold meat and pickles on Boxing day. ........... as you can imagine, our house has an aroma for a few days :frown:

BIG party tonight....let the drinking, eating and falling over begin :upyeah:

  15. Ham & Eggs for breaky to sort out the hangover then a nice Rib of Beef for dinner.

  16. Definitely not! A lot of wine consumed that night.

But yes the F&C presentation was a little unusual with huge triple fried chips. Rather good though but my favourite for Xmas is Duck and I have two birds prepared and drying out chinese style in the airing cupboard overnight :upyeah:

  17. Big ol' turkey for me, with it's arse stuffed full of stuffing. Should be good, but it's never as good as the boxing day meal of leftovers; that's the real deal for me:upyeah:

  18. its not the meal its the company that maters, i have the M.I.L over and because of the bad weather shes just invited her to stay till Friday, no fancy chips or slate plater is gonna compensate me for that, bollox.

  19. I was tempted to crack a pheasant/peasant joke. But decided it was too obvious and tacky, so I refrained.
