  1. Escape to Victory is a good'un along with The Great Escape. Also watched Wallace and Gromit as well. Apart from that ive been watching stuff of my home server as, well, TV is just shit now (ive not watched prime time tv now [any night] for nigh on 15 years now)....that being said ill be waiting eagerley for the next season of SAS Rogue Heroes. Thats the best thing the BBC has put out in the last 10 years IMO....

YouTube is TV for me now.

  4. That’s a very good classic film, a single event during WW2 that utterly stopped the Nazi’s from attaining the Atom bomb in a more timely manner.

The Norwegians aren’t given enough credit where it’s very much due IMO.

  5. The Vemork museum is well worth a visit if you're in the Rjukan area

  6. I may actually get to Norway this year a place I’d very much like to visit.

I had every intention of doing a sporting event there in a previous life but the planets didn’t align.

  7. Rjukan is my favourite ice-climbing venue, so have been there a few times:). If you get to Norway via Oslo, the Kon-Tiki and the Amundsen museums are worth it - especially if, like me, you grew up on this adventure stuff.

  8. When I used to climb my mate was always encouraging me to give it a try, however his stories of a route thawing out whilst he climbed didn’t exactly ‘sell’ the idea to me.

It would have to be via Oslo as there are no longer any direct ferry routes to Norway from the UK, I seem to recall Hull being the last UK port to have a Norway route.
