Yes had it for a couple of days over Christmas but I can't get it off my chest. I had the flue jab, you get it free when you get to my age!!, I'm not sure whether this has eased the severity of a full blown flue that others seem to have had. Steve
Same here in the North Sea fella, wouldn't normally come out here with it spreading so easily in the offshore environment but I spoke to those already offshore before hand and it was here already and most onboard are already suffering with it in some way or another... Worst I've seen it offshore in 15yrs
I suspect this is the real reason behind the recent NHS announcements - getting ready for some serious NHS facilities stress through January
^ what he said, i have been holding back from saying so but karma always seems to have me on speed dial.
Remember to keep your hand on the hand rail at all times... spread it good and proper, there's a good lad....
Hey, just hang on a minute! I had the full fat fuck off version. In fact when I think about it, it was pure luck that I caught it. It would have killed any other mortal stone dead. So there....
Well you didn't catch it off me. I’ve had almost the whole of December wiped out. Just starting to feel like getting out and about again. Bin a bastard.
I've not had a Cold or Flu in the last three years, which ties up very nicely with when I decided to turn my life around with regard to taking more exercise and eating more healthily. I sat in a meeting at work yesterday in a closed room with 4 other people who were all sniffing, coughing and blowing noses. So yesterday evening I really pushed myself at the gym, then spent 20mins in the steam room - job done, bugs killed off. Walking the dog in the cold but fresh air at 5am this morning can only have helped. Nasher.
I have been eating healthy and exercising for the past 18 months or so. My reward a couple months back was to get the worst case of flu I have had in years, ruining my long awaited biking holiday in Europe. It's the luck of the draw, unless you are one of those lucky humans that rarely get ill. I've known a few of them of the years, smug briskets so they are : o )
It doesn't mean... When I quit the fags 19 years ago, I caught one cold after the other. I was so pissed off with colds I went to my doc. His theory was that by packing in the fags I'd removed a 'toxins' shield from my airways. He told me to bear with it, which I did. Sure enough the colds stopped and I didn't get another for a good 6 years. With each virus you cop, you build an immunity. You're having a good run, hope it lasts but I doubt it. If I were you I'd go and get a truck load of Beachams and never leave the house. Ever
plus one - day in bed , only tv and random pics to keep me company - birthday too. ordered k&n for mts though
i'v just kick started a quad with a flat battery. i have discovered at least one reason to give up the fags.
