  1. Much better to watch than Silverstone, may make the effort to go

  2. I'm well happy with that.

Silverstone might be more modern but it's shocking for viewing, you can't see anything and it's just so flat.

They'd be better off spending money on making some elevation changes to the track itself than all the other shite they have done.

    Happy days

  3. Nah lets pump all the money into a high speed rail, that no one really wants, and will only bring more wealth to London, instead.

    Bring it on I say

  4. we shall see what Anthony has to say about that sort of statement....

  5. Are the DSC funding that too now?

  6. that was never proven although some things were rail roaded...

  7. Result. It's only 20mins from my house!

  8. You and all your neighbours will be stuck indoors unable to go anywhere every Motogp weekend then.

  9. Have just read the CoW Business Case!!! Whoever wrote is needs some training in writing Business Cases!

  10. Back at Donington, roll on 2015!

  11. I can't really see why bikers wouldn't want another top quality racetrack.

Cadwell - on the road to nowhere, more or less in the North Sea and way to narrow.
Brands - on the wrong side of London for most of the country, so a complete nightmare to get to unless you want to inhabit the gridlocked, Gatso-infeseted M25.
Donnington - the facilities are a joke. They haven't even heard of bog paper and soap. The atmosphere isn't that amazing either.
Silverstone - a good quality of snakehouse - clean(ish) with bog paper, soap and... shock horror... paper towels. Only real disadvantage is that it's flat.

Perhaps the UK's biggest problem is that everything happens in London and the SE and the entire place is chocker. I think it's a sound plan to bring exciting things to more outlying areas.

And lest you forget, Le Castellet is about as far from Paris as you can get in France. Never stopped the Bol being a success (although I'd be the first to admit that Wales is hardly the Côte d'Azur).

  12. great its only about 20 minutes away normally or about 2 hours away motogp weekend

traffic getting out of Silverstone was a nightmare, at least donnington is closer to the M1

  13. Disagree:

Cadwell - Brilliant, good ride out to get there, MSV track so facilities always good. My most visited track for racing and track days.
Brands - Live in Leeds but used to be my most visited track, 3 hours in the car, 4 in the van just pick the right time to go. MSV track = facilities good.
Donington - Great track, good viewing, agree facilities shit, not far from M1 but try getting after Motogp!
Silverstone - F1 track. Nuff said.
You missed Oulton - great track, viewing v good, MSV track.

    and Snett, Croft etc.

Why would I want to go to the back of beyond when all these tracks are within striking distance for me and other mid country residents...

  14. Cadwell..facilities are crap. No power, no garages, thats crap. Circuit best in the UK

  15. Oh and lets not forget anglesey, great facilities, beautiful place in the sum and great track. Shit hospital

  16. I was talking more from a spectator point of view bit I take your point...

Of course I forgot Mallory which would be a great place to put motogp on at.!!!!!! :Banghead:

  17. Interesting article about the work needed at Donington to hold next year's event.......
