  1. Funny....the same happened to me ;)
If it's not ET pissing about with Avatars it's over zealous use of Down thumbs and red crosses.....he says setting him self up for loads of the same.

  2. Anyone see the cameron interview?
Mr Cameron told BBC Midlands Today: "I don't know exactly what happened. He is a constituent of mine, he is a friend of mine, he is a huge talent.

"I see that he said he regrets some of what happened. All I would say, because he is a talent and he does amuse and entertain so many people, including my children who'll be heartbroken if Top Gear is taken off air, I hope this can be sorted out because it is a great programme and he is a great talent."

Asked if the BBC was wrong to suspend him, Mr Cameron said: "I don't know what happened. Every organisation has to be able to be free to manage its talent and to say to people, 'you can do this', or 'you can't do that', so I don't want to interfere in the running of the BBC."

He added: " The Prime Minister has many responsibilities, sadly securing the future of Top Gear isn't one of them."

The BBC's director-general Tony Hall also said he was a "fan" of Clarkson, but said allegations of a fracas were "serious".

More than 500,000 people from across the world have signed an online petition demanding that the outspoken host be reinstated.

Clarkson is alleged to have punched Top Gear producer Oisin Tymon, apparently following a disagreement about a lack of catering after filming for the show.

The 54-year-old left his flat in Kensington earlier today amid a media scrum.

He joked: "I've been suspended haven't I? I'm just off to the job centre", telling reporters: "At least I'm going to be able to get to the Chelsea match tonight."

Asked if his suspension was over a row about food he said "no, no, no" but said "yes" when asked if he had any regrets about what had happened.

  3. Have any of you lot figured out yet that the Jeremy Clarkson is a TV Character, much in the same way as Ali G is a character?

  4. Rubbish.
Read your license. Once paid you are entitled to receive real time tv broadcasts at the registered address, plus another temporary one.
That is satellite, digital or analogue or net based.

  5. This should surely lead to a debate around the licence fee, and it's lawfullness. I'm surprised that they ( the bbc) are still allowed to operate in a bubble whereby they can force the general public to pay the licence fee, for all intents and purposes do they not have a monopoly? I am sure that every other TV company, Internet streaming company etc would love to have the absolute and outright power to do so. I love the Beeb however I find it odd that in the 2000 and teens we are being constrained by regulations placed upon us in the middle of last century.

  10. Hammond is vital for Clarkson's small person gags. And I quite like hammond when he's doing semi-serious car reviews on his own. But he isn't the natural joker and he can't do dead-pan. When all three of them are together he lacks the presence of the other two and he tries too hard to compete with them.

  18. Yes thank you, we have.

  19. It has become very rare for a government minister, let alone the Prime Minister, to say of any issue that he simply is not responsible for it, has no power over it, and is not going to do anything about it.

I would be more impressed with David Cameron if he had said this more often over the past five years.

  20. My point is that you don't own in part any of the BBC. You are forced by law to get a licence.
