Cleaning (oil Stains From Block Paving)

  1. There’s totally enough different marks there for a conclusive scientific experiment! :bucktooth:

    I want to see how my brake cleaner compares to other suggestions!

Ignoring my Harpic debacle, I did have success with carb/choke cleaner that I sprayed onto each blob/stain, left it for about 2 or 3 minutes to let it soak in to thin the oil, then ignited with a lighter to burn off the oil. This required several repetitions, the stain getting noticeably less visible each time..
     
  3. I’ll give it a go. :joy: Surely the brake cleaner will evaporate before making any impact

  4. if you clean one you do realise you will have to clean each block to the same colour. :(
     
  5. Had a go with the gunk driveway cleaner

    Attacked with a hard bristle broom, seems to be a big clean spot but oil stains still slightly visible.
    Went at it when it outside temp was very hot and in direct sunlight

  8. No but I turned mine over and then made plywood side stand discs I know it's not a solution but it sorted my block pavier drive.
