I have also have the comfort seat for the M1200R and can confirm the following: It is marginally higher by aprox an inch. It is less slippery and more comfortable than the stock seat. The passenger section is no different in thickness and comfort than the stock seat. The rear cowl does fit the comfort seat.
Buy some cycling Gel Pants as well. It all helps. Sure it may look like youve got a baboons arse, but unless your 'cruising' no-one will ever know.
I have a pair of those for cycling. Not only were they comfortable on the Panigale's hard saddle but they were also presentable shorts once the leather trousers came off.
