Well well. They've had 3 attempts now and still no one can get near Asparagus. I wonder if he'll make it stick in the race - it's not as if he's not talented. This is all a lot more exciting, but of course, as the race is run at night on sand, it's never that much of an indication of the season to come.
The world of motogp has been turned on it's head and MM was back at the top within 4 free practices, 6 weeks and 2 days after breaking his leg. Cal is a funny chap, with his Monster sponsor moment yesterday and the moment with the old guy today. I love those little hints of a personality.
Well that was interesting wasn't it. Properly shuffled the pack, bet Lorenzo is going mental at Bridgestone
This was fun, cannot wait to see what happens during the race as I bet there will also be few offs..... Will we see 1st open class win and instant restriction imposed
Hmm. The elder Asparagus forgot that the season is a marathon, not a 60 yard sprint. Yes, he might have got pole, but if you have to risk that much, is it really worth it? His mechanics and team must be delighted. That's a lot of rebuilding to do tonight. Smithers is something of a revelation. Where did that come from? It's all very interesting. Good not to always see the same hands.
All the focus at Tech3 has been on Pol Espargaro, so Bradley's done himself a power of good by getting on the front row. He had a good debut season but it seemed to go largely unnoticed, hopefully he can finish well at Qatar and boost his self-confidence and profile.
Yes, he was chatting to cal between his legs and Cal looked right at the camera and made a gesture to the effect of 'who is this guy?' It was funny. I also had a little chortle to myself when Ianonne's bike stalled in the pit lane and wouldn't start. I think that may have been free practice. Typical Ducati!! You spend all that money and the bugger breaks down as soon as you get out of the garage.
It looks like the making of a v interesting season. Loving bradders out qualifying pol. Tom your right cal looks v relaxed not sure if that's good or bad though , could mean I'm happy and on it or I'm happy and along for the ride. Dovi seems more intent. Anyways come on the Brits incl lowes should be a cracking opener
I think the racing should be very interesting as it looks like there may be a few more faces at the front towards the end. Marquez hinted he may struggle towards the end with his leg, but was that a rouse? We shall see. Be nice to see the brit's near the top too at the flag, hopefully Bradley can make good on his qualifying. Feel sorry for Redding looks like he made the worse decision of his life, I suppose if he toughs it out he may get looked on for a better ride next season, but it must be demoralising going from a front runner to top 15 if he's lucky. At least he can ride around with Nicky Hayden who looks as cheesed off too.
The customer Honda has turned out to be a bit of a turkey for sure. And Honda sold it on the premise it was only 0.3 seconds a lap slower than the full works bike... No fear though, Redding is nothing if not determined, and if the bike really is a turkey Honda will be tripping over themselves to save face, and they'll be throwing revisions and works bits at it like their lives depended on it.
Reckon it will be peds last year on the works bike. Out qualified again by team mate ( with a broken leg).
