END OF....................................................................................................... Had one back in '92. Sold it on for a 888 which was cool....... but I'm still a fool !
As a younger man I was so deeply impressed by one bike that it is probably responsible for me buying duc's now that I'm an old fart with some disposable. It was a 900 SD Darmah with conti straight-throughs. The biking world seemed to have gone completely Japanese and the SD was something very different that had gargantuan amounts of presence compared to all other bikes I saw around me (even the lovely Z1). For me, it will always be the coolest because of the impression it has left on me. So, there's an end to it. Thread closed. Move on.
Agree with the 900 SL as I have just bought one!! Love the 851 and 888 also but more difficult to live with. This was the bike I hankered for when I passed my bike test in 93. I have been looking for about a year and missed 2. Its being delivered Saturday.......but it's yellow ....which is what I wanted, a yellow Mark III
The most thorough and reasoned post so far even if I am slightly away from the final summary - good reading
Done it on my first one but followed through... Which didn't look cool... Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
I crashed.... I expect I may have looked like that at some point.... Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
How much would a good one of these fetch nowadays then? I must say I do like the 888 corse... Mega£££££s..
