Coolest Ducati Series ... And Why?

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Dave, Jun 23, 2016.

  1. When I think cool bike, I dont think sportsbike crouch rockets. Cool has to be what goes well with an open face helmet, so for me cool = early monsters and the scrambler

  2. Fair play mate, whatever floats your boat. I have to say, I saw a guy at our local meet last night on a Scrambler with the full Termi' system on it and it sounded proper.
In the mahoosive garage in the sky I'd probably have one of them in there as well just for the hell of it ! ( As well as the 900SL)

  3. I mentioned this before I'm sure but my favourite Ducati memory was I tagged onto a group of 7 Ducatis many years ago now along the A14, didn't know any of them till later but we meet up after a few miles and admired each other's bikes as per the norm.. However before that as we rode along, and swapped positions a 888 sat in front of me on termis I think, he opened his throttle and a few flames shot out of the pipes, but it was the pressure that hit my chest was what I will always remember... Like someone drumming on your chest.. Amazing expirience ..

As far as coolest, it would have to be the MHR for me, it's the first Ducati I bought and the bloke it's named after was pretty cool as well.
    Still own and love it.

  5. A work colleague has a 70's 900 I think it's an SD (Darmah?).
I've always thought that was a cool bike, partly because it still looks good compared to modern bikes.

    Edit : maybe a Pantah ?

  6. Luvly looking bike....

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  7. I think they are beautiful... Especially the R models... Until you make your way round to the front.. To me it's as if Terblanche and his team came back from a very long lunch, having drunk far too much and said come on get this front end finished, in a rush, the dials look awful, the two big blisters as I call them on the lower fronts of the fairing and the mirrors and headlights, oh no..

I have to admit I've ridden a couple and I have to say they were nicer to ride than the fabled 916..

TBF beauty, is as they say in the eye of the beholder..

  14. I think the Streetfighter S is cool.

I may be biased, as I have one. But it didn't sell in big numbers and people are now starting to 'get it'

  15. If money wasn't an issue I'd love an ncr new blue. Yum yum. Coolest duke ??? 888 sp3 ? Or the mh.
In fact it's probably whatever you own and can afford now !
