I have the S with full LED. The main issue is the adjustment just doesn't go low enough. Mine is all the way down, beyond where one thinks the adjustment stops. This leaves the high beam throwing it's light too far down the road. However the low beams work well for almost all highway riding as they aim slightly higher than a low beam should. The LED high beam, regardless of adjustment, is poorly focused. You have a fairly small round spot surrounded by a dark shadow, which is surrounded by slightly lighter. I don't know where they came up with this annoying ring of darkness right where you need light.
Here are photos taken at 20 ft from the surface. Low is bright, wide, throws light nicely into the corners (not talking about the useless cornering lights here). The high beam is, well I don't know what the high beam is. It's certainly useless to me.
I have the same issue, and I did on my 2011 as well, both adjust all the way down. The solution for the 2011 was the fix to have both the low beam and high beam on at the same time when the high was activated, otherwise high beam was only good for signalling batman.
