Cornwall breakfast meet

Discussion in 'Rideouts & Events' started by Desmo Pete, Apr 7, 2012.

  1. It was good to meet Desmo and his wife and Jellybean at Route 38 on Saturday. Pete I hope your trip back to Newquay wasn't too wet.
I'll PM my mobile number to you both if the PM system on this site is working.
Regards and hope to meet you again.
    Alan

  2. Can't sent you a PM since PMs are switched to 'off' in your General Settings but you have my home number anyway.

  3. It was good to meet you and Jellybean, likewise.

the ride back to Newquay was drier than the ride up.

Hope to do it again soon, and perhaps the weather will have improved so much as to bring out a few more.

    Best Wishes

    Pete and Mrs Desmo!

  4. Hope to make the next one. would be good to meet you all. Mrs. Wicket is keen to attend too.
Had a ride out in the rain today to Camelford and the shoulder injury felt fine. Just need to get some miles in now.

  5. Who's up for another brekkie meet in a couple of weeks?

    Pete

  6. I'll be there Pete, dry/bike, wet/car. Did you have the same location as before in mind?
If (big 'if' of course) the weather's in our favour Louie's cafe at Kit Hill, Callington, would be good since there we could use the outside tables. If not good weather they also have indoor tables of course.
    Alan

  7. I will be up for it too.:upyeah:

  8. Howdo!!

  17. Morning all.

Well its been almost a year and we have not managed another meet. Mrs Desmo and I have both been in hospital in the last few months but we are fighting fit again.

So who's up for meeting up soon?

Answers in a postcard........ forget that, post here!

    Pete

  18. Yes Pete. I swopped my Triumph Thunderbird 1600 for one of the new water cooled BMW GSs but still have the 999S, couldn't lose that one!
Sorry to hear about your hospital trips, trust all is well now.

  19. How time flies when you're enjoying yourself.....or not! Glad to hear you and the Mrs are in good health now.....I'm still not quite back on the bike after another op on my leg (well foot this time actually) back in December....almost there, just too painfull to get a bike boot on/off.

Still watching this thread and keen for a breakfast run to Cornwall some time :D

  20. Im really happy to read that there is still interest in a meet sometime soon. Looking forward to meeting up again and, of course, a route 38 breakfast!
