Cota Moto Gp - Round (spoilers)

Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by Red899, Apr 8, 2024.

  1. What a sensational qualifying. Had absolutely everything.
Maverick bloody hell but Jorge Martin was class haha.
And Pedro is faster than 2024 marquez.

  2. Cracking sprint race, though the front runner had no competition tbh.
Pedro, showing a lot of class.
    Main event today.

  3. Ive got a horrible feeling 93 is going to win this.
Maverick wont last the distance im afraid.

  4. Martin bummed him didnt he, would have finished on the second step otherwise im convinced.

  5. I will say it again though COTA is a complete mickey mouse track and will be a complete procession after about 5 laps if we're lucky. Far too many first gear corners and bumps.

  6. Loved the bt sport interview with Aaron Canet after his first win.

“Finally I have the gas “

  7. Best race for a long time

  9. Vinales was brilliant, and his confidence will be sky high, which is massive for a racer. But ive a feeling bastiannini is going to get better as the year goes on

  10. Vinales was another league today. Acosta showing why he’s going to be a world champ, possibly next year. And Marc doing what Marc does….. crap track and yesterday sprint was a yawn fest but, despite the track, having riders that don’t care if they hoof another off will always make it exciting. Which it was until Mav hit the front and f*cked off.

  11. Delighted to! Gives me great pleasure watching 93 trudge away with his tail between his legs :)
Good on Mav too. Imperious all weekend long.

  13. Apparenty three weetabix day is working it's magic for Batman, as for the usual top three runners from the past two years they're in trouble at everyround from now on in from number 31 / 93 flexing their muscles, all great for bums on seats.:upyeah:

  14. I will however stick with my post opening round prediction that 93 wont win a single race under normal circumstances because of the gap between the satellite/factory bikes and the gap being simply too big to be made up on talent alone.
I also think he looks too stiff on the bike (understandably so after the surgery etc) and unable to lean off it like other riders although im happy to be proven wrong there.

  15. Tbh I am very pleased that we seem to have had a big shake up. Acosta competitively quick, sooner than I expected. Awesome on the brakes yesterday. Basti looks like he is going to throw a spanner in the works for Bagnaia and maybe Martin too.
Vinales, I thought he was washed up and only capable of flash in the pan performances…but fighting back through from 9th or 10th (?) and clearly having plenty left, that changes things too.
Predictions now? Anyones guess. Fool to bet against Basti, Vinales or Acosta now. Not convinced we have even been to the tracks where KTM is at its best, likewise the Aprilia..
Jap bikes, oh dear. Shows what sterling work Fabio has been doing really but still hopelessly off the pace.

  16. Vinales reminds me of 2022 Aleix. Everyone thought he was done in moto gp and now hes the talk of the town.

Alex M seems to have gone to shit since his bro rocked up alongside him too.

  17. Sticking with Jorge for now, just needs to temper those emotions.
    Hes plenty fast enough.

  18. One of the commentators, might have been Laverty, said AM hasn’t got to grips with his 2024 spec bike. Andy

  19. Jerez next and a wildcard for wee Dani.

  20. I wouldn't bet against him for a few wins this season, Pecco will get his act together in the next couple of races.....one would've thought.
