I bought in to the Daytona thing, and it cost me a fortune. Then they leaked - first one then the other, when only just outside of warranty. Paid another exorbitant fee to have them refurbished and a new waterproof lining. Cut my losses and got out by Ebaying them straight away. I now have a pair of Alpine Stars for the summer which have great venting plus the separate inner and all the super protection you want - plus they look pretty good. When I go on tour I take a pair of Sealskin socks which are big enough to put over the inner boot, so if it looks like being a wet day I stick them on over the inner and then but the lot back inside the outer. Instant waterproof Alpine Stars without having the sweaty effect of permanent Goretex in the summer. In the winter I wear Goretex TCX boots which are functionally just as good as Daytona (maybe better as they don't leak) and have the same warranty for a fraction of the price. Daytona are trading on past glory from when they were the only ones with a separate inner boot and people (like me) who get suckered into paying through the nose for "the best".
Bought a pair of these from FCMoto. Agree Expensive. Agree look boring. However they fit my feet like a glove and are the most comfortable boot I have owned. However as always time will tell if they are worth it. Last two pairs of TCX Gortex boots lasted 3 year each before leaking. Hope these Daytona will do better !
Daytona also one of the few that do a 'women's fit without any pink or flowers - done over 15 k in mine now bit scuffed but I still like em
I have these as well and recommend them. They are my preference for any bad weather or touring duties. After some use the feel is OK for me. They provide a good walking around boot as well with a decent look.
@Chazaxl recently bought the TCX in the OP and can probably share some thoughts. I wear the Daytona touring boot and though expensive, they've performed as advertised over 5 years. One concern I have is that the shin protection doesn't seem anywhere near as good as typical racing boots. My Sidi Vertigos are meant to be sport touring oriented, are also goretex but are much more robust and stiff.
I use these, my first pair so nothing to compare to, however when I put them on initially they felt good and I really enjoy them - very nice boot for a reasonable cost.

Yup that's what I have there not bad, but am thinking of something cooler (heat wise) for the summer months
