Cal would definitely make a good test rider, he isn't afraind to ride on and beyond the limit. Looking back at his motogp years, the best results where achieved on the Tech3 M1, so Yamaha might suit his riding style. After 9 years in motogp with above slightly above average results, I guess the time had come to make "space" for the young riders.
Why would any team give a seat to Alex Lowes. Make no mistake love him as a rider and he had good race results. But not GP level. He could obviously buy a seat in a private team, but what is the point in doing that? I anyone than possibly Jonny Rea would certainly deserve a ride, but a bit old.
I find Cal very entertaining to listen to, exciting to watch race, admirable for the way he unashamedly cares for his family, and frustrating as heck for falling off too often. Will miss him from the races, but clearly his true glory days are behind him, so wish him well.
Doh.... Yeah I meant Sam! I know they look the same He’s still leading Moto 2 and could possibly wrap the season up with a championship Since 2014 So has great track knowledge. Had as good if not better results in WSS as Cal! Put him on a competitive bike and he’s generally always up the front
Yeah he has had a few good results over the years, He’s just not very consistent with the results. Can’t knock the man for trying though.... The point I’m trying to make is we need younger riders that have come through Moto 2/3 not necessarily WSS and WSB. JR a should have possibly been snapped up a lot earlier....
