Custom paintwork

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Doodle, Aug 28, 2012.

  1. I know Mike, he lives near me, painted my 888 last year, but he doesnt do detailed airbrush work, which is what the OP asked about. Oh and my 'HD' puts out more power than a 998, doesnt go round corners too well, but it'll leave most bikes for dead off the line. They're all good fun.

  2. More specifically, I'm looking to have something like this on the back...

MisterB - sounds like he could be the right man for the job, will wait for a reply to my email.

So, even with the cheapest Arai (because they fit me the best), that would be £400-worth on their own. For a couple of hours spent screaming round a track one weekend every month. Suddenly 6 years of "use" from a similarly priced paintjob doesn't seem so bad. Like you said, Chacun son goût.

  3. And I think I said for the road I can understand, not quite justify, but if you're using on track defo not understand! And I'd rather spend it riding on track than looking good tbh :)

But I do admire a lovely lid :upyeah:

  4. Chacun son gout - French for "to each their own".

Despite having spent my childhood years with the club racing circuit, I'm too feeble, scared, broken, unfit and incompetent to venture beyond the paddock on anything less than 4 wheels, which leaves plenty of money to spend on paintwork instead

  5. The shit I spend my money on trust me, I'm not critisizing anyone!!

  6. Me either, people like you kept me in pocket money!

  7. I really can't see the difference in blinging your bike and blinging your pixie hat.
