Cycling The 217 Miles To @ducbird ‘s...

  1. Good scam but I'm cycling every day on the exercise bike that was bought for me under the rehab code. I started about last October and I've covered about 1250 kms. In my mind, I am going to the South of France. I've been past Le Mans and have the route planned out in Tyre. It knows that I am cycling so keeps off motorways and takes me on the country routes. And nobody congratulates me! Well, not true, my family do!

And I accept the group's congratulations thereby saving everyone the bother of congratulating me!

I got an exercise bike bought for me under the insurance companies' rehab code. I wonder if I could get a Multistrada next?

  9. I have to say I didn't get onto this and was duped.

I also have to say though that I'm relieved to be duped as I thought you may have bitten off more than you could chew at this point in your recovery, but I certainly didn't want to post anything negative while you were (so I thought) so far from home.

Keep up the good work though. When you've finished I hope you are going to have a Skype/Zoom drinks celebration with @Ducbird

  11. When Ido my evening cycle, it's a beer or two (or more) to revive me. The main benefactors are Stroud Brewery. I haven't got the front to try and get my beer bill paid under the rehab code. I need to be more daring!

  12. Just past Toulouse!

  13. This map has reminded me of something childish (well, a little more than usual).

When we used to go to the Bol at the Paul Ricard circuit back in the day, "Clermont Ferrand" was a map point. In our superior French, it was always, "Clement Freud". Sophisticated we were....

  15. I've got two physios now. The new one wanted to see my cycling. I am doing (when I have a free day) three 20 minute sessions per days at a low(ish) resistance. My new physio suggested strengthening my legs by putting the resistance right up and doing three 5 minute sessions where I cycle as fast as I can on the higher resistance. I do this for my first session every day.

It does knacker me but it makes a change.
