Personally I don’t like D16RR’s, Brough Superiors or Vincent Black Shadows or come to that ex Barry Sheen RG500’s etc etc and it’s all for the same reason, I can’t afford them
Btw over the year’s I’ve suggested a millionaire mate of mine buy various vehicles, Dino for 50k, Countach mk1 for 70k, F40 for 250k etc, look at the prices of all these now!, we were laughing about it only recently when I was at Donington with him and his Porsche cup race team (which is a money pit) he also has an Audi LM race team (which is a money pit), he actually bought a 430 scuderia which has gained little value, a 458 italia which he sold 20 minutes after he received it for a piddling 5k profit, a few Jap classics that have gained little value and stuff like GT3’s that might gain in a few years, anyway if anyone wants me to tell them what to buy as an investment I will for an upfront fee of 10k, PM me
That 430 Scud will be starting to gain now. Just getting old enough and the anti-turbo nostalgia wave will help the older cars. Be interesting to see if/when this bubble for cars and bikes pops. I reckon it might not. Electrification is clearly happening but driving up the prices of the noisy old stuff in the process.
I remember when our CJ was little we went to see a Foggy Rep at Colchester couldn’t believe the size of the gaff.. he kept the bike in his hall, marble floor and a staircase so big it looked like something from the Dynasty set... the Rep had 3 miles on it from new.. he had it from new but had never ridden it, he couldn’t as he had never took a bike test and had no wishes to either.. his Missus has bought it for him for his B day... they wanted 10k for it ... I turned it down after talking to Glenn at Parkies, caus it would need another 2k to get it up and running .. it hadn’t been started since new either.. What a total plonker I was... if only.... X
Thanks a bunch! Please make sure you clean up the interiors as well and drop it back to my place once she’s spic and sparkly...
