That's not been caused by the sun as far as im aware (note the plastic clutch one hasn't melted )more brake fluid when fecking about refilling as the brake cap is metal and painted by the looks of it.Cant be arsed replacing it as it does its job fine although it looks a bit tatty but that's ok as bike is 18 yrs old now. If it is the sun the that's ok by me as id rather replace a fluid cap than a set of clocks lol hense id recommend painting or applying vinyl the bottom of screen to shield your expensive dash.
Ill gladly accept all gifts but I wont bother fitting it as the one fitted at the mo does its job fine.It would be very nice if you could all club together a pay for a full respray by rage paint every year as I get some stone chips riding it to lol. I like the marks as it shows it gets used and is no garage queen plus im a rider not a polisher. For the OP the paint vinyl has done the trick and my dash/clock have yet to melt.I just masked it off and used a rattle can.Job done.
You guys and girls must spend a absolute fortune replacing and repainting stuff every year. Here is the standard nose fairing with a larger screen and vinyl to protect the clocks and a few DECALS lol.
Might ask Ducati to sort it for me as it would be cheaper for them than me coming back over and over again for new dashes as they melt... Haha.
