  1. Sounds good, don’t recall it being overly tall.

  2. It might be actual height or the shape of the seat, but mine feels just a tad taller than my 2007 Africa Twin.

  3. But I'm overly short :D

I think compressed I'll be fine, just reads high on the specs, so will just pop over tomorrow for a final decide.

  4. Always good to hear about northerners spending their money. :D

  5. Got new tyres on that car today and decided to keep it, so need a treat and I can't get this out of my head!

  6. Maybe Ducati put the lowering kit on the display bike………..

  7. I don't expect it to be tall to the masses mate, but us with sub 30 inch inseam tend to be on tip toes, which is ok ish for road, but a struggle off road. I'm popping over to have a proper play, but as I get old I can't remember and I have actually sat on one :D

  8. I’ll ask my mate if he’s sat on one whilst he was in Stoke, he’s a professional garden gnome. I did mention to him that he appears to be nearly as wide as he is short as the years advance…:D

  10. I'm 5ft 11 and test rode one last year. On a flat surface it was fine for me but any road camber and I could only get one foot down. It is tall.

  11. So is Dave…

  12. If you’re already shorter than average I’m sure being compressed is the right move. Maybe a stretching rack would help?

  13. To be fair, 5'9"with 30" inseam, but do like more that a toe on the ground, so pretty sure it needs to be lowered.

I had a Tenere 700 and did the same. My off-roading is mild, so can accept the loss in clearance.

The issue is the lowering kits are on backorder, so may not arrive until the world has ended, which makes immediate ownership less attractive.

    I'm popping down next week.

  14. I’m fairly sure my lad was balls of his feet when he sat on it at the NEC.
Are there no third party lowering kits on the market?
Prepare to be surprised at the size of the showroom…..
Powerslide is next door and may have some MV Agusta in stock

  15. There might be third party kits. I'll have a nosey and see where it gets me.

We have a Euro trip in April, so more a case of getting it, then the RIS and farkling the odd bit before we go.

  16. Called in to my local dealer and they had 3 Desert Sludges (X) in. 2 white & 1 black. All with sold, don’t touch me stickers on em:astonished:

  17. Just get it bloody bought!

  18. Any decent suspension place should be able to do the same, possibly better for you. The kit is just shorter springs. ( and side stand)

  19. Hi great write up. Where did you get the aftermarket side panels?
