899 Dealers No Longer Taking Orders For New 899s

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by duke63, Jul 21, 2015.

  1. I suspect the reason there is no 1299/1199/899 SF is because it would need a complete new frame and thus all the attachment stuff to go with it.

For the few SFs they sell, i doubt it makes much economic sense.

  2. Nine new models at Milan just announced! Including 2 segments they aren't active in.

    Monster 1200R
    Diavel X
    899 (955) or whatever

    Scrambler 1200?
    Scooter?

  3. 5 brand new and 4 updates...

  4. They are going to release a Scrambler with a smaller engine! Probably a 400cc.

  5. Or a Scrambler with a bigger engine. :D

  6. Isn't that called a tractor?
    Worked for Lambo!

  7. Lamborghini made the tractors first.

There was an interesting programme a while back as to how Lambo ended up making cars. The owner bought a Ferrari which proved to be an unreliable pile of shit so he went to see Enzo and told him he could make a better car.

  8. That was an April fool, reading the comments below ..
If they do an 899 with autoblip downshift and a bit more midrange I'll line up with me credit card :)

  9. 959 Pani... Yum Yum... Just hope the [Audi] emission tests are not in doubt...

  10. Really wished it was 955 just for heritage sake!

  11. It is - did you read the article

  12. Yes but called 955! Either way I guess we should start guessing the magazine Hp figure, I'm actually going to go with 150hp so only 2hp more but with more 'mid range'. There u go... Watch me be wrong!

  13. It will be Euro 4 compliant which will undoubtedly sap a little power. I think the same bhp figure but more mid range will be spot on too.

  14. 899 challenge fucked then !

  15. Well they will just run 955's surely, I can't imagine the difference will be so much that they can't allow a small amount of tuning for existing 899's and run them side by side like they did with the 848 and 899

  16. Sort of defeats the objective of a single bike series,a fair few new bikes and riders this season, seems unfair on them, then again I am not sure how long the 899 series has left to run.
