Streetfighter 1299. The 899S with the electronics package from the 1299S will not be launched until EICMA. Then there's the Scrambler 1200. Streetfighter 899 will be a 2017 model.
i could buy into that re the 899s with the funky elec package.......... I think 1000cc would be enough for a larger capacity scrambler, 1200 is overkill imo.
if a 899S was on the way they would stll make a 899. It'll be a tweak to 899 and hopefully a "s" too. Im sure someone once said they couldnt possibly make a 899 as the engine couldnt be made to suit that size down from the 1199.......
I still don't think they'd do an 899s as it would be priced around the same as the 1299 and wouldn't that mess up the sales model. An 899 evo maybe with new fairings, upgraded front brakes few engine tweaks, maybe the single swing arm .......
Who says they're not making the 899 any more? "Not taking orders" is not the same as not making any more. It means that the factory supply cannot meet demand... probably because the production line is working overtime on the Scrambler.
Maybe there's a problem and they're not able to take orders. All I ever hear from people is the 899 is their next bike. Giving it more spec and making it more expensive will dent sales won't it?
That must have taken u some time, what I meant was that the stock in the county is all there is, that isn't the same as me saying they don't make them. I have to say it's been a while since I regularly posted on here and have heard some negative things about the forum, it seems to be true as every thread I've been reading through gets argumentative!! It's frustrating as it used to be a really great community.
