Certainly looks like its done a nice job of keeping your bike looking fresh! Some good advice in your post too. It's the first time I've used ACF-50 this year so still finding what works best for me. I have a good coating has been applied to all 3 this year which is the most important thing... I will definitely be maintaining a coat on our going forward too so may well adopt your approach of applying with a microfiber cloth
I have just sprayed ACF50 all over my Multistrada DVT. It will look like crap all winter, but it'll come up a treat about next April. I hope.
Simply stunning condition! Glad I opted to use it now and hope mine fair just as well having applied it You must spend a considerable amount of time cleaning it also though?
I also don't like getting the wet, unfortunately the weather beats me from time to time though... I does give me an excuse to clean it again when the rain catches me out though
@Ben Mallinson where did you get the number boards from? Ive looked everywhere for the full front one and cant find it anywhere! I'm gonna get stuck into cleaning and detailing my brood over the winter!
I got them from Rod at cut grafix @Sambighair http://www.cutgrafix.com/index.htm Had a quick look on their website but can't find them on there now... Rod is great though and I'm sure he'll sort you out with one
Having just the one bike, I create a cocoon for it with a thin plastic sheet covered with fleece blankets, topped with a stretch cover. Inside the cocoon is a mini dehumidifier, creating a dry and slightly warm microclimate for the bike cz so it emerges in Spring in perfect condition, despite the rather damp garage.
I just put it in the garage when its dry... no cover no nonsense... its a bike at the end of the day to ride and enjoy. If it gets dirty or wet i wash it .. simples
For some of us, half the pleasure of ownership is the cleaning, caring for and tinkering with them though... Well it certainly is for me anyway
Fancy a “bikeshare” scheme. I get it dirty and then you keep it clean...... Sounds like everyone is a winner!
