1200 Diy Service Reminder Resets, Mileage Adjustment And More

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by AndyW, Jul 18, 2014.

  1. Congratulations Wit, your app has cleared my dash...no more nags.
Selecting desmo twice wouldn't clear it but selecting oils did.

The OBD11 pin out definitely needs to be carefully checked with a multimeter and the wiring colours are not as I expected (looking at your PDF instructions).
On mine 4 is orange, 5 is yellow, 6 is green, 14 is brown with white line and 16 is green with blue line...cheap Chinese maybe?

Thanks for your efforts in getting us here.

  2. I need some to help! I have been sent an email with the link via the playstore and all I get is "nothing to see here" I am using an android device logged into Google and using a gmail account. How can I get to the app? Any advice gratefully received.

  3. You need to email Wit and he will add you to the user Group ;-)

....as Wit doesn't frequent this forum ;-)

  4. I have emailed him, he sent me the link. Maybe he forgot to add me to the user group.

  5. Can you access the Google group page at Google Groups ?

I sent an email request to the googlemail address provided by Andy but it bounced. I therefore requested access via the group page. In one of the most recent posts is the link to the app (but I assume you need to be registered first): Google Play

  6. I've dropped a line to Wit to let him know that you guys are having problems.

  7. Cancel my last all working now, just waiting on the cable. Thanks Andy.

  8. If anyone is interested, I have sufficient components to build 0 (all gone) OBD to DDA adaptors. Unfortunately they will be £15, sorry. PM me if interested.

  9. Wit is just back from a trip away so anyone still waiting on being authorised for the Multitool Google App group should be sorted now.

All looking good with the App so far although there maybe one of the resets that doesn't work for 2012 or later models...more 2012/2013/2014 bike owners required ;-)

  10. Chris-

what are you offering for £15 ? - is it the cable AND the Bluetooth end also ? - I have got the app and now need to connect the phone to the bike via the Bluetooth connector with the 15to4 way lead.

    - and can you chris do a picture of where it goes ?

    Thanks,

    Bugs

  11. OK chris, so £15 for a cable from you (posted I take it).

Re. the OBD - can you please post the exact link (one you have) that you would recommend ? - not bothered if wifi or Bluetooth, only to know that it works with your cable.

re. pictures of where it goes ? - HOLD on I just saw the link in your last post...

    Tks,

    bugs

  12. OK it looks like its the F connector ... will check for myself..

Just need the link for the right end pls...

  13. thanks for the link, I have gone for it.

Chris I have started a conversation with your user profile with regards to paying u for the cable, can you confirm you got it? tks, bugs

  14. If someone close to S Wales manages to sort this I'd happy contribute some beer tokens to have my mileage set to the correct setting (+10k miles).
    Please let me know. Thanks

  17. Service reset successfully done today on a MTS1200. The bike has new clocks fitted, are we brave enough to do the mileage wind on?

  18. I am in the midst of the wind on. It is slow work...! Maximum is 500 km per hour and it drains the battery somewhat. Wit recommended to short between the battery positive and the accessory socket positive which tricks the bike into not turning itself off.

Plan to do it over a number of days with the bike on charge in between. I had 6000 odd miles to put on and am about half way there.

Other tips. Be prepared for the Christmas decorations on the dash when you disconnect the BBS plug. Also the phone screen has to remain on with the app in the foreground for it to work.
