  3. I don't go back to work til September ...
But they don't pay you either :(

  4. Yeah, I know they don't pay me........that's the State for you......

  5. Sunshine would be nice :)

  6. You have to learn to love it. I was the same when I got mine. Have an open cover and almost bought a closed one. It grows on you and is a great talking point. Everyone wants to tell you whats wrong with your bike. Still need a T shirt saying "learn to love the rattle"

    Regards Steve

  7. Closed cover = sacriledge!

  8. A SOLE Troy, is something stuck on the bottom of your shoe or lies half buried in the sand at the bottom of the sea with its eyes sticking out of the sand, or something in a creamy sauce on your plate in a restaurant. What a Ducati has, is SOUL !!!!

  9. I have to admit to feeling a little embarrassed when I start mine, people gather around around it, some with open mouths and some with a knowing look and a nod, but embarrassment aside I wouldn't swap the clutch out for a closed one in a month of Sundays. It's what Ducatis do, they rattle, I love mine for it. Besides, its fun telling people I've put diesel in it by mistake.

  10. Thank you for the correction. You will have to forgive me but I am only part way through my adult learning course for spelling. Its very taxing you know:upyeah:

    Regards Steve

  12. I'm fairly indifferent to it to be honest. I don't mind that it does it but I wouldn't give a hoot if it didn't.

  13. i had funny looks today at red lights in stockwell uneducated looking at my multi like it was cattled trucked !, i just dumped the clutch monster mono with booming cans to show them its alive its alive !!!!

  14. There are ways of stopping it rattle, the quiet clutch mod has been around for some time which involves restocking your plates in a slightly different order (friction plate in first..... Google)

However there is also an alternative from Biggelaar Ducati (Netherlands) by which they've actually manufactured some parts which as I understand it reduce the play in the steel plates so it dosnt rattle when in neutral either but just does that tambourine sound while you pull the clutch in. It's something they offer as part of a service package to they're clients.

Ill be able to let you all know much more hopefully soon as I sent Tony (Biggelaar) some money last weekend for him to write some instructions out in English and ship me the parts.

  15. Got to say I'm not a fan of the dry clutch just cos it does make the bike sound like a bag of spanners. I think a "booming" set of cans is far more attractive. But thats just me

And don't forget "loud cans save lives"

  16. Not a huge fan..My evo had a wet clutch, so no rattle, just the boom, boom of the pipes
I have added the quite clutch mod to my current bike, so just a little rattle when the clutch is pulled in, which is actually quite nice to hear as you are cracking on and working through the gears...

  17. I'm with you on that one
:) I hear one and it makes me smile

  18. Tony! LOL. Toine, surely!

  19. Thanks Damo, I've emailed them to find out if they do a kit for my '06 999S.
