Not for me - throwing the spanner in the works I couldn't think of anything worse than going to Glastonbury... 1. Stuff gets knicked. 2. Toilets literally full of shit. 3. Most likely be raining 4. Tent gets crushed (if even considered it and camping would be my other nightmare) 5. Wouldn't get any sleep. 6. More often than not I hear something produced and think yeah that's sounds good then hear it live and then think - mmmm that sounds worse... 7. 200 quid to get in. And that's just what I can think of off the top of my head... Yes-sirry-me - I think id rather stick a fork in my leg for a few days....
I did 93 to 98, 5 in a row. Last 2 rained. 1st 3 were scorchers. Still brilliant fun and I heartily recommend them. Never had anything knicked Toilets are better than you think Its still fun, take wellies and waterproofs Never had a crushed tent Took too many drugs to sleep anyway Some acts are much better live than you'd think possible 200 notes for how many headline acts? Find me better value for money. Its a great weekend and if i wasnt too old and set in me ways, i'd go again. prefer to watch from sofa now.
Nope, sorry - 200 notes for how many headline acts - to which I might only like about 5% of them.... Someone in the office went - had their wallet knicked with 200 quid in it - ironically.... Still couldn't think of anything worse....I might draw the line on the camping thing as im currently looking for another supermoto and would like to do flid fest next year....that's my limit...
I saw Velvet Underground, Radioheads famous gig, orbitals famous gig, Johnny Cash all at Glastonbury amongst others and they were all worth the entrance fee and then some. Until youve been, you will never know what you missed. That Radiohead gig and the Orbital gig were 2 of my outright favourite performances of ALL TIME. £200 notes? Lol. Easy money. Also watching Hawkwind, literally Jam for a couple of hours on a sunny afternoon on an obscure stage somewhere was awesome. Not to mention all the other varieties going on everywhere. Until you've been...
