Just had a rummage through my extensive library of track bodywork and I've got all the bits (except the seat) but none of it match. Xerox Bayliss belly pan and missmatched nose and side panels. Cock! It's either going to look like a dogs breakfast or I'm going to be spraying up yet another set of fairings! #offtofuckinghalfordsagain
Thanks for the offer, much appreciated. I've only just chopped up my xerox seat to use on the dd bike and now it won't fit the 1098 any more. So the only part of my old Xerox bodywork left is the bellypan. So, I think I'll just try to get hold of any old seat unit and maybe repaint it. But thanks again for the kind offer Phoenix. Unless of course you're getting rid of the seat and don't need it, than I might be interested in buying?
£300??? I can do a full set with 7 cans (I've now done it 4 or 5 times :tongue. So that's about £50 £300... You Southerners
Hi everyone. Just picked up my new old 996 yesterday, and signed up whilst at the dealer (Snells) for this track day. Love the 996, had a 998s before and missed it ever since. Snells have done Full Monty on her over winter, Grunter spec. New Nitron race shock. Slipper clutch. Can't wait to try her out on track. First time on track for a few years, so will be a bit wobbly I expect. Look forward to meeting some of you there. How do you find each other on the day?
Cool...probably see you in the garage then is this he same layout as WSBk? Watching some vids last night and club racers were using a different layout
Full gp, so round foggy Esses, Melbourne loop etc. I should have my ducati forum stickers and tshirt by then.
This one then... Motorcycle Track Guide: Donington Park - Melbourne Hairpin to Start Finish - Page 5 - Motorcycle Track Guides - Visordown rather than the up and down at the end, the vids have a chicane. Got to learn it somehow
Yep, that's the one. There's some good vids on YouTube. Coming out of Melbourne is a good place to high side, seen that a few times. I we meet up tomorrow we can have a chat about it.
Well my trusty old 996 didn't quite survive Jerez afterall, major oil loss led to major mechanical, but at least I managed to stay onboard, suprising really when looking at the amount of oil all over the backend of the bike and rear tyre. The bike will be going into the workshop on Monday to see how bad the damage is and if we can get it repaired in time for Donington, as I am already booked on. Myself and Phoenix will be staying at the Melbourne View on the Monday night, and having a curry at a great Indian in Castle Donington if anyone cares to join us and talk Ducati.
Just booker myself into the Premier Inn for the night before. Anyone else staying over and up for a couple of beers the evening of 27th? Alistair
