I was in a group of 4 with 2 1098's either side and I'm convinced it wasn't me over the limit but a combination of the noise from the group. The marshal was very understanding and let me straight back out but the same lap it was red flagged! When lady luck is avoiding you it sucks.
cheers bud... I hope its like me too.. (something simple!) it is what it is and that's all really... I just want a reliable track bike ( if you suggest buying japanessey again I will have to hurt you!!!)
No worries open offer anyway, I’m back in uk on 17th/18th going past you north just give me a shout if I’m needed...cost you 2 pints of Guinness mind
What are the symptoms of the breakdown @chizel ? Electrical? Nasty knocking noises? Smoke and fire? Hope it is an easy fix. It must be Donny....my 748 lunched itself there at my first ever trackday in ‘98...main bearings...new motor required....
Why not have an IL4 sat in the back of the van as a "spare" just in case so it doesn't mean the day ends.
back firing and popping then the engine cut out. it started fine when back int the garage and started straight away just now... there was a lot of oil about the engine again although not coming from the same spot as last time...
more lose bolts… tightened em all after the first problem.. guess I should have removed and lock tighted….should have taken advice and had a look at track. just too pissed off... still not sure how it would account for the missing and engine cutting out?? oil in one electrical connection at least.. looks to be a sensor of some sort?
