  4. Some thoughts from the weekend....

    1) I think Taz did a fair job, 3x top 12's would have been I think a really strong weekend. Would have been good to see Jason out there to have a gauge as I think he's at the top of his game

    2) Great job from Scott, he really got the most out of the bike, for me the spinning up was interesting to watch but not as fun to watch as the thing just backing in everywhere on engine brake, the wheels were never inline, quite rare to see the bikes that loose these days unless it's by design like stoprak.

2.5) Would love to see Scott on a Yamaha..

    3) Laverty is a waste of a seat now, hate to say it, but he showed great promise but he's managed to keep rides in the championship for probably 7 years now with no signs of troubling the top 10.

    4) I think Gerloff will loose his ride at the end of the year, which might mean a yamaha available.

    5) Toseland really went down in my estimations at the weekend. It's fine to have a strong opinion, I think his opinion was a little 'too' strong, given that John Reynolds had said this week when asked that Taz has a massive job, and that even in his day, he rode a wildcard with his 998 which was last years WSBK. So Him, Hodgson, Walker all rode factory superbikes, that just isn't the case these days. Anyway, what annoyed me was how Toseland started saying the McAms team were unhappy with the comments etc, and then he just totally changed his tuned and by the end of the weekend was just singing his praises... he just totally u-turned...

    6) Jonny Rea showed again that he's a personality vacuum with comments about how Bautista kept "Dive Bombing" Him and slowed him up. A little rich tbh as honestly his moves were as strong as anyone out there.

  5. Best view in the house? TV.
    At track you just get:-
    BBBRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGHHHH
    noise.
Ooouch as you see them drift at frankly ridiculous speed.
Gasp as they are elbow down where you aren’t even knee down
A real perspective of how skilled even the back of the field are oh, and
    Ice cream.

Will watch on catch up of course.

By the way. Talking of Yamaha. Aegerter. Just saying.

  6. Why was Hicky even there? Just because the team owner is loaded isn't a good enough reason, he looked slow compared to the regulars and he and Mckenzie were embarrassing.

In Supersport Tom Booth Amos is gradually blowing his chance at keeping his ride. A race winner from 300s should at least be top 10 without falling off.

And before anyone asks yes I was faster than any of them.

  7. Toseland not so bad IMHO, but that Haines bloke is awful:-

'And Jonathan Rea, that's six times world champion, Jonathon Rea, who qualified in pole, was baulked at the start by all the other riders and is now sixth, but looks like he is going to overtake them all on the outside round Redgate, but no!, baulked again by the Ducati, which as we all know is a faster and better handling bike than six times world champion Jonathan Rea's Kawasaki, isn't it James?.

But one thing we do know is Jonathan Rea never, ever, ever gives up, and is lining them all up again through the old hairpin, but no, he'll have to pass them all round the Melbourne Loop, or Goddard's, which, may I remind you, is where Bautista crashed yesterday, and due to the resultant psychological meltdown, will go downhill just like 2019...

I must remind you that if everyone falls off except six times world champion Jonathan Rea, then he will collect a massive 25 points which will completely change the complexion of this years championship.'

Not sure who his favourite WSBK rider is though....

  8. Aegerter, on another level!, when he dropped to fourth and the commentators were saying 'He's got a huge problem now if he wants to get that ninth consecutive win' you sort of knew what was coming........

  9. Ref the commentators, absolutely agreed. In fact Keith Hewen was amazing on the BSB coverage at the end of the year last year. There was one point where Hiscott compared a outbrake move around the outside to "just like that day in 1993 when Aryton senna pulled the move"... I mean... WTF?
