had a great race for about 15 miles on the mutley with one of those!!!I would say that car is faster than the bike. It was quite funny as it was a male driver 50 odd years old with lets say a lady in mid twenties. And i don't think it was his daughter!!!! So I overtook him on a decent A road and he thought it would be a great opportunity to show off to his new prize. He went for itvas soon as i came past, i was going fast as the road opened up allowing me to overtake several cars in 2 goes. At first he was way too close to me so the speed increased to warp. I could tell the instant power on that car was awesome, but his driving planning skills were obviously distracted by his young, very very sexy guest. He tried to keep up, but could only do so on longer straights, making up for lost ground. We eventually came to a roundabout where i waited for him to draw up,he looked completely embarrassed and she looked thoroughly unimpressed with him. I laughed at the general scene next to me and offski.
I bet it’s a fantastic car to drive, looks great too!. When I was looking at 996s I only wanted a manual, the tiptronic didn’t really appeal, but I’d have the PDK over any of them!. I really like the Cayenne, although I think I were spending that much I’d go out with the intention of buying one and probably come back with an RR Sport SVR, just love the noise they make!.
No it's not a V4. Santa Pod today. Didn't catch the run down the strip, as was visiting someone running straight after..
Best, most fun car I've driven around Spa Francorchamp was a guys 997 turbo manual with 650 ponies out back. Best at the Ring has been the GT4, such a perfect package that was so much more rewarding than having big horse power. Maybe I'm getting old but the modern fascination for power seems a little bit tedious to me. Last year I instructed in a little crx honda on the Ring. 560hp this thing had, never have I been in a car on the fast parts of the ring that wants/is spinning up in all gears. Still at least I didn't die!
I’ll be honest with you. My 911 is a riot. Powerful beyond my skills. The fact I enjoyed the Boxter S so much perhaps tells me something....
Ha ha, just had to Google that cheeky twat! And I take that shite back from last night. I was pissed. I’m a fucking driving God behind the wheel!! Raaaaarghhh.....
And a lightweight ?? Pissed at 9.48PM, you're a fucking cheap date Mary....Hic !! PS. A manual NA Modus would kicks it's arse.
You’re right it probably would, I’m not a big fan of Mclarens really, they’re very capable amazing cars but don’t do a lot for me, sort of like an S1000RR but with 4 wheels. Only if it doesn’t have an electronic handbrake .
Carried on from liquid lunch.... Been out all day as the weather was ace. Those Modus don’t scare me- no siree! Had a great day- North Yorkshire tour...
