Drift Ghost HD

  1. My mount (curved) fits very well on my Shoei Quest-right hand side low, so sticky mount touches the bottom hard plastic piping of the Shoei. Mount opening faces north so camera pops down into it. Prongs that lock on each side don't engage with a positive click like the Goperv's. So check those peeps. Also fitted a lanyard wrist strap off an old stills camera to the fixing hole for one on the camera side of the mounting. The other end loops onto my helmet strap. No issues if camera falls off etc. Tested this yesterday and didn't cause any problems with head turning or wind movement.
just got remote to work as well; no idea how. Just need weather to improve and go out for a spin.

  2. Thanks duc daz, mount will not fit on top of helmet? Sorry low board band so can't watch video.

  3. I've been out 3 times with the Drift Ghost 1080p stuck on the off side of my Shoei. very impressed with the image. Same as my GoPerv. Wrist remote works well. Very very happy with it all. Bought a 1800 mAh battery off interweb for £10 so will use o/e as a spare.
Only slight downside is the footage captures the dash on my Mutley; speedo reading very clear

  5. Drift Ghost recording update:
Bought a 1800mAh battery to increase the run time. I set the camera for 1 min tag and off I went yesterday; didn't tag anything and the device was flat in 90 minutes :frown:. Outside temp was 17C with a 11 mph south westerly. Will switch it to record on/off next time out and see what that does. This will mean it will only record when I press the wrist remote. (As opposed to continuous loop record when in tag mode I think).
I know this will depend on how many times I hit record, but will do one run with it just on stand by then another with a few 2 minute long recorded bits and then compare.

  6. Right update on Drift use. Bought a 12000mAh brick off fleabay for £13 so now on 1minute tag the battery lasts more than 40 mins. Downside is I have the lead running out back of Drift (not waterproof) into front inner pocket of jacket. Doesn't flap about like I thought it would so happy with that. Now trying to sort out where to put remote on bike so I can easily see it and maybe charge it via output socket on bike. Want it around the dash area so it gets some shade as led lights not easy to see in direct sunshine. Also want to be able to remove it as it's not bloody waterproof (doh).
Anyone else sorted this or do you just put it on your wrist?
