  3. As does piles but I wouldn't want that either !!

  4. Well unless it was done in track today, no excuse ;)

    (And it's not an 899...)

And if it was today, what a shitter :(

  5. It was an 899 Panigale and still is an 899. Was running from the Moto Rapido garage so thought some on here might know it.

Many of the parts are made as one offs. Carbon tail unit etc. I liked it TBH. Once the rider was sat on it, it looked loads better.

  6. Had a great day, 1st time at Donnington on a bike, struggled getting used to the circuit but went home with a smile on my face

  9. Ended up having a good day today, didn't start off too great missed my first session with a coughing spluttering pig of a bike and a flat battery :( one of the lads had a power pack which got her going but she wasn't happy then as I was prigging about with the battery I noticed the notorious alternator connector was almost melting :astonished:

As I'd come prepared :p I snipped it off and soldered the bare ends up . Voila started on the button  and was fine for the rest of the day :upyeah: boy she's thirsty :astonished: a wild child :) and as common as muck, we had 5 1098/1198 hybrids in our garage :D

  10. Doni Yesterday..
Finally got me and the 996 to a track day! Brilliant fun!!!. The garage I was in had another 'real' 996 that was also mint.. 2 Pani's (one 'R') and a Monster.

Funny how life brings us all together from all points of the UK, and with a mutual interest..

Out of the 5 guys in the garage, 4 were all from a IT background and 3 of us were Italians! (no 'eye tie' jokes!)

What a wonderful world we all live in!!

Anyway, a pic of the ex Mike West 996....... DSC01166.JPG

  12. Great day yesterday, I was my first track day in two years. I was in the same garage as tobytyke, who's bike is stunning.
I was certainly a different to a normal track day with a much more pleasant experience on track.
As for my post about using bike mounted cameras, they were ok with a normal adhesive mount on the tank.

  13. Great day, well organised and even decent weather. Looking forward to Silverstone. Would have been good to id a few of the DF people. Photo images "too big" to upload.

  14. We should have DF table in the cafe next year

  15. Brilliant. If you need any help, let me know.

  16. Ha ha, nice. I've seen that before. Guys trying to keep up with the skinny wee 125 brigade into corners. You have to remember physics. Them plus their bike weigh about the same as your left leg. Trying to match them on braking, corner speed is not going to end well. Good effort though! Glad the weather was good for once.

  17. Hey guys, where do I find the details for these track days? Thanks

  18. Google California Superbike school Ducati days

  19. Does anyone know the name of the company who took photos at Donington?

  20. The garage I was in was a bit sparse with no other attendees from "Riders".

Managed a few decent laps and the weather held out so happy.

Randomly ended up sat next to Glenn Irwin at lunch and he came across as a genuine guy.

Overall had a fun day and looking forward to Silverstone.
