Ducati may have (reluctantly) recognised it, in the USA they gave cheap/free replacements for a while (USA always get a better deal than us!) but here they didn't do shit unless the failure was in the warranty period. Ducati UK didn't want to admit that it was a problem and all but denied it even happened unless caused by poor maintenance when I contacted them about it after my first rocker failed. Shame on Ducati for not being man enough to do something about the rockers but I'm not going to let that spoil my bike so I had them done by Newmans and the problem is no more. BTW, prior to replacing them with Newman repaired I had a total of 9 rockers flake, all of them openers and my bike has always been serviced properly/had regular oil changes with quality oil/run carefully after startup etc.
