  1. For bikes you don't want anything too abrasive that's a heavy cutting compound.
    If it's had a hard life then it would be worth using a clay bar first otherwise I wouldn't worry too much about that part.
    Something like dodo juice lime prime light will remove light swirls safely by hand and because it quite oily it gives a good finish without the need for a final polish, I'd just finish off with one of there soft waxes over the top.
    You can apply that with your bare hands so the likeliness of reintroducing light scratches with a polishing pad or cloth are reduced and it will give good protection.
    Auto finesse also do some good products.

    There's a site called elite car care that does sample sizes of a lot of polishes, glazes and waxes. One sample pot of dodo juice wax will do a bike 4 or 5 times easily!

    Once it's at a stage your happy with just give it a wipe down with some quick detailer until the wax needs topping up again.

    I've stopped using clay bars and moved to the new NanoSkin 4" for bikes. Much easier on the paint and easier to do with a dynabrade air tool.
