Thanks for that bud... I've not even touched the rear shock yet other than checking sag that were bang on. After another ride yesterday at a more let's say a reasonable pace its mega! But definitely highlighting the front being slightly too harsh and no where near as composed. Dare I say slightly choppy! What did they set your Bypass too on the rear... That's the one I'm more interested with? And want a better understanding of how this operates. What was the cost of the front cartridge kit fitted? Thanks for your input... much appreciated
The bypass is on 8 It was explained to me That is used to quickly adjust both settings so if it rains or whatever you can just back it off a couple of clicks and it softens off bothe compression and rebound at the same time I got the fork kit for £930 including fitting I think The rear sag out for the box was right but I softened the front preload off 4 turns to get where I wanted it
That's pretty much how it was explained to me... so all makes sense now. Thank you for confirming set-up .I will check my base settings next week as I've not even touched a thing yet, and possibly still room for improvement. Are you still running standard steering damper! I've had a few moments on mine already due to it not being that effective. But calmed it down a little with rear shock improvements. Guessing the front change will completely eliminate this issue.
The compression on the rear shock wasn’t too bad on the road but the rebound was too slow so was locking out over bumps. I’ve got an ohlins steering damper which is handy as you can adjust it but it want a huge difference over standard to be honest.
Ok interesting... will be seeing how they compare too your rear settings in the week and keep you posted... definitely going to do steering damper but looking at the Matris R speed sensitive version as kind of semi active. I've used them before and always been impressed with the build quality and feel. Going to look at K Tech too as they do a replacement version.
