  1.
  2. Only 3,500 miles - 500 were done on the dsy it went bad
    Its a new bike

  3. Mine broke down on the way to the dealers to get the fuel guage fixed - under two years old - and in a lay by at the side of the road....and i only wanted them to get it the last 8 miles to the dealer where it was booked in anyway....

    Covered ??

Nope - that registration does not exist on our database - cant help you ... bye.

Ducati have said "sorry - and it should have been covered" - not really good enough - they obviously sold the service out to the lowest bidder.

Not worth ANYTHING in my view and i am considering legal action for failing to provide a service that has been paid for - I did think they would at least give me another years cover or some credit towards the next service - but as the dealer picked me up in the van they seem to think its OK...

    NOT OK :-(

  4. Obviously not good that it broke down and bad admin from somebody not having it on the database but surely the dealer picking you up in the van is all good in the end? I'd prefer that to a random recovery truck personally.

  5. I have to admit the Dealers were great - but pretty angry at being left in a dangerous spot at the side of the road - abandoned - and told i had no cover.

Ducati Winchester were excellent and sorted it all out - and as you said a professional / experienced bike recovery -they run a race team so should be pretty comfortable loading bikes :)

But if i was not already booked in with them, and almost there - it is concerning that i could have been anywhere and therefore left to sort it out myself, the recovery company have effectively got out of their responsibilities and although Ducati apologised (eventually) - and your right it could have been worse, it still feels so wrong they can just deny you the service that was included and paid for in your contract and walk away.

  6. Jaybus this reminds me I've not recieved my 'ducati coverage' wallet card since collecting mine & owning it over 2-months now. If the recovery company states too their knowlegde its not covered, they should at least offer to still do it at cost. Then you should get refunded by ducati ffs as its there admins fault!

  7. Thought I'd update on my saga
Ducati Uk have got on top of the job - got bike back to dealer and stripped it - seems to be something they have never seen before - c clip failure on crankshaft and needs a rebuild
DUK have asked for all my receipts but no more news on this yet
On Yer Bike Aylesbury got it all moving and have delivered to me a new Monster to play on while they fix the Multistrada - at least I am seeing some good service now - still nervous about such a failure on a newish bike though

  8. Unfortunately this is one aspect of Ducati that will and does put people off.

A company is only as good as its customer service.
