Ducati Collection For Sale - Anyone feeling flush ?

Flagellate me with an old timing belt, but I really don't understand all the fuss over the Supermono

 

What, the quickest single-cylinder bike ever made - sure, why make a fuss about that?

 

Wonder if I can do a private equity del on this. I'd only have to stick 2 grand down, lend the rest

 

it's ugly as sin.

 

I've raided the piggy bank and the kids!

 

I spotted my bike amongst the collection. Does that make it worth £19000?

 

Seems obvious to me that as per one of my recent posts on the Ducati museum, Ducati themselves should just buy the collection en bloc and open a new museum with it. After all, what's a couple of mil to them as a marketing PR exercise? And it's not as if it's ever going to lose any money.

Some very desirable cars get auctioned for the same amount of cash. Here you have 130 bikes, for God's sake.

Ducati, are you listening? Buy the collection for the enjoyment of all Ducatisti. Run the things at events, open another museum. How hard can all this be?
