Whoever is in charge of coatings and materials at ducati needs a large bat inserting into them... Its like they don't know what rain or bad weather is. My hyper had 4k on it and most of the fittings had to be replaced round the bottom of the bike... En mass does it really add that much to the baseline cost of the bike to swap the fixings to stainless? Or shudder I say ti? If your paying upwards of 12k for a bike then surely at least stainless could be added... For the record my hyper looked twice as bad as my rsv4 in that the rsv4 had twice as many miles and looked spotless, but then, they used a fair bit of stainless...
Not sure I agree with the going after the apology... I don't think you'll see that but with my next duc I'll factor in the cost of replacing fixings, I knew I would before but not on the scale that I had to...
