  3. I did the train trip from Bologna to Milan back in 2012, & got the surprise of my life when I am watching a TV monitor with numbers on it and worked out it was a speedo showing how fast the train was going. I thought, shit, I'm in the middle of Italy going 300kmh backwards, wow! Very enjoyable trip, great country side. As for the museum, I spent many hours there taking photos & reading history. There is a small outlet inside but the main outlet is across the road. I reckon you will have to check when they are doing factory walk through and add 2-3 hours for the museum and shopping. I was on my own, so I could please myself. I stayed at a luxury B&B called Pitstop B&B, 40 Euro a night, booked through Booking.com .You can buy bus tickets for 1.20 euro that last all day and as mentioned earlier the bus stop is called Ducati, but if you miss it don't worry, the stops are quite close together. From the bus stop the Factory is a short walk down the road. When I was there the earthquakes were happening, so no factory tours were conducted. It didn't worry me too much as I had recently seen the National Geographic documentary.
Also you have to book in Advance, it was free when I went during WDW, but from memory it was only 5 euro which was donated to charity. If you are a member of DOC it's free too.
Have a great trip and have spare batteries for your camera.:)
