  1. Well done Kope, thoroughly deserved, not just for the bike, but your attitude and use of it too, plus it's great to see the development and progression as well.

  5. Well chaps, is this the moment to start thanking anyone i ever met starting with my mother? :)

in all honesty , it gives me more pleasure than i thought it would .
and what add to that is that even in the onslought of some topnotch projects starting from a more classic base, a project based on the newest breed finally stood it s ground.

Cynics could say that the real vote has gone to those classic builds , which indeed it has. If only one would not have competed or would not have the exceptional quality they all have, i would have come a long second or even third.. and rightfully so :) .. Just look at them :)

still what warms me most is the reading that the project i ve been putting together gets the perception i always wanted it to have: that of a top quality build that goes way beyond doling a heap of cash out in a biggest dick competition in the lastest wannabee-must-have-thingy . Sharing the project in itself and getting that feedback has also been a great contributor to the enjoyment i get out of it. I feel at home here and am building a great memory database .. :)

again thanks for the appreciation and count on me to stick around for a while..

I repeat the offer to buy a drink when i pick the now newly appointed BOTY up in derby ,winchester ans london on its way back home .. There even more to celebrate now .

    cheers

    koen

  7. Well done Koen.

A humble man with a special bike, could there be a more worthy winner?

  9. Well done Koen. I have not only great admiration for your bike and your vision but also the attitude which you have. On a forum it would be all too easy to come across as someone who simply wanted the most trick bike in the car park, but you come across as someone who has great interest and drive as well as a strong sense of perspective. Whilst your project obviously costs more money than 99% would (could) ever spend on a bike, the attitude you take and the way you have shared every step of the project makes you a worthy winner.

The thing is that your project isn't about willy waving and more about taking the opportunity to do something that YOU take great personal pleasure in. I hope it becomes everything your vision was when you started and that you enjoy it...... It's truly something worthy to produce; something you are completely proud of in life.

    Well done that man :upyeah:

  10. Mr T .. It warms the heart to read your comment . :)

Let me add that just 2 years ago I was amongst the 99% who couldn t if they would.. :) and still the dream was there and took shape . I worked hard, avoided the many pitfalls and boobytraps of businesslife and got lucky with some timing .. And suddenly i could .. And then i did ... :) in my deepest still being one of those 99% . But the one that got lucky .. :)

  12. Fantastic result Koen!! A very well deserved win and it couldn't have gone to a nicer bloke. Anyone who's met Keon will know it's not about the money spent, it's all about the bike, a true enthusiast and a really nice guy :upyeah: I'm well chuffed to have come third as well! There were so many great bikes in this years competition that third is better than I could've ever hope for, I'm really pleased! There's more than just Koen's and Paul's bikes that I would've placed above mine, and even more that I'd be very happy to see in my garage!
