People forget the straits Ducati were in when Cagiva took them over. The 906 rode like nothing else back then with bodywork based on the Cagiva V589, I stepped off a Honda NS400R to ride this, EC exhausts but it still rattled the showroom windows and a monster torque band. With the Conti I could do 140mph - two up. Back then only a GSX-R1100 could beat it on the roads... so the game's moved on, it always does.
It's easy to tease, but the only thing that matters is that you love your bike. My 1098 is already two generations behind but it doesn't make it a bad bike :tongue:
