May be but not in the long run. Because you have a smaller sprocket the chain has to bend more to get around the tighter curve causing more wear, plus there's less surface area it puts more pressure on the contact area of the small sprocket causing faster wear add that to it having to handle more revs to reach riding speeds it's going to wear much faster than a sprocket with an extra tooth thus less mileage out of the chain/sprockets. a case of false economy I'm afraid. Ho and by the way (roughly 15-43) is up on the back by 3.

I fitted the JT Carrier and 15 front (Ducatimondo) with an AFAM black steel 525 quick change sprocket and 525 chain (525XHR3-G) from Bike Torque Racing. They did have to order the sprocket in, but have a range of sizes. If you look at the charts between approved and OEM, the OEM's have the higher tensile strength. Parts came to around £230, but next change will be cheaper and easier.
Yeah looked at them got all the way through to the paypal page with my order then they added the $69 for postage. even though on the order page it asked for my country and area code, then didn't add any extra postage. So I went with supersprox that gave me an out right price.
